Wigan based Design Studio picked out by Dragons Den Star Theo Paphitis.

Great to see our feature in the Wigan Observer yesterday about our support from ex Dragons Den star Theo Paphitis and his Small Business Showcase. We’re really looking forward to meeting Theo on the 30th January!

The article reads

“A FAMILY-run Wigan based graphic design studio is enjoying a major New Year boost after attracting a high-profile supporter from the world of business. NW Design, from Wigan, Hindley Green was picked out by Theo Pathitis, famous for his role in TV show Dragons’ Den, during his Small Business Sunday social media initiative.

Theo picked out the Wigan based design studio from the hundreds of small and medium sized enterprises who contacted him on Twitter and sent their messages to his 440,000 followers.

The business, which was founded in 2011, now has a profile on the well-known entrepreneur’s website dedicated to the scheme and the team at NW Design will also get to meet him at an awards ceremony in Birmingham at the end of January. Dayle Traynor, 28, said: “He can get up to 2,500 businesses entering, it’s quite a big thing. I’ve been trying for a while so I was quite surprised when he picked us. “The night we were picked we had two enquiries through Twitter for work, so I can only assume they came through that. That’s a positive for us as well:

“It is great to have support from Theo to raise our profile and he has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do. “We’re all looking forward to attending the awards ceremony where we get the chance to personally meet Theo.”

The Wigan has already gained a further 200 followers on Twitter since its Small Business Sunday success and hopes the recognition will enable it to grow further in 2015.

NW Design, Wigan , Hindley was founded by Dayle’s father John Darbyshire who has over 30 year graphic design experience and specialises in brochures, leaflets, websites, branding strategies and exhibition displays.

Its clients range from small start-ups and firms across Wigan borough to large UK education establishments such as Liverpool School of English and the textiles company owned by former England rugby union international Bill Beaumont.

The business also works extensively with charities such as Wigan and Leigh hospice and Winston’s Wish.

Businesses looking for support from Thro should tweet him about their company on Sunday evenings between 5pm and 7.30pm using the hashtag #SBS.

Six winners will be re-tweeted and their profiles placed on Theo’s website.”
